Position Overview
The INTEC Controls Business Development Director (BDD) – Business Development & Partnerships is a growth-focused role with a clear mandate: deliver $1.5M in new annual revenue by signing and managing high-value partners across the US.
Focus on building long-term relationships with contractors, distribution partners, and premier distributors. Each partner must meet or exceed minimum annual spend commitments of $100K for contractors and standard partners, and $250K for premier distributors. Success in this role requires disciplined business development, strong partner management, and the ability to drive sustainable, measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Growth
- Deliver $1.5M in new business annually by executing a structured business development strategy.
- Recruit, sign, and onboard contractors, partners, and distributors that meet minimum spend commitments.
- Build a year growth plan for each partner to deliver on threshold exceptions.
Acquisition & Management
- Secure partners with $100K+ and premier distributors with a minimum $250K annual target.
- Provide sales, technical, and marketing support to ensure partner success and accountability.
- After a year of nurturing, the account will move to the Account Management Team
Market Development
- Position INTEC Controls as a preferred solutions provider with contractors, design-build firms, and specifying engineers.
- Develop and maintain a CRM pipeline aligned with INTEC’s growth targets.
- Conduct joint business planning with partners to drive market expansion.
Expertise & Differentiation
- Acquire and maintain technical mastery of INTEC products, applications, and services.
- Present strong competitive differentiation to customers and partners.
- Stay current on market trends, competitors, and relevant codes/standards.
Teamwork & Best Practices
- Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to ensure successful onboarding and integration of new partners and distributors.
- Develop and implement a structured onboarding program for contractors, partners, and premier distributors.
- Take ownership from concept to delivery, ensuring a seamless handoff and ongoing support that drives growth.
- Establish and refine best practices for partner engagement, enabling repeatable success across regions.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across sales and support teams.
- Build out CRM KPIs for the sales team, work closely with Ops to build a dashboard for tracking predictions from quotes to orders.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner with the GM, Ops and Engineering teams to execute growth plans.
- Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and pipeline visibility.
- Travel as needed to recruit, support, and grow relationships.
Requirements:
- College degree. MBA is preferred.
- 8 Years of experience with a proven track of success.
- High level of Leadership skills.
- Ability to travel to work up to % 50% ( Monthly HQ Visits )
